Attaching Evaluations to Traces vs. Spans in Arize Client

Assertion (related to my last question ^): Can one attach evaluations to a trace or are evaluations only allowed on spans? I could not find a way to use context.trace_id when passing the evals dataframe to arize_client.log_evaluations_sync
