Balancing Perspectives on AI: Hinton's and Yann's Insights

I'm going to hedge myself 🙂 I think Hinton is right in that GPT-4 learns models of the world/data and can apply those models together to create new and novel things. I think Yann is right in that the current architecture has a lot of issues and is not going to reach AGI with just scaling. I also think like Yann we have quite a ways to go.
