hello i wanted to know if https://github.com/Arize-ai/phoenix supports google-adk latest release 1.18? Will there be problems if i have a version 11.35.0 and upgrade to 12?
It seems likely that Phoenix supports Google ADK integration, as there is official documentation and recent updates for Google ADK tracing and instrumentation with Phoenix, including instructions for setup and usage with the Phoenix platform. However, the data sources do not explicitly mention support for Google ADK version 1.18; the latest referenced version in test requirements is 1.2.1, and there is no direct mention of 1.18 compatibility. You may need to verify compatibility with 1.18 in your environment or consult the Phoenix or OpenInference changelogs for any breaking changes related to newer ADK versions. Regarding upgrading from Phoenix 11.35.0 to 12, my understanding is that Phoenix handles database migrations automatically on major version upgrades, and these are thoroughly tested. However, downgrading is not automatic and may require manual intervention. You should plan your deployment accordingly and review the release notes for any breaking changes or new features in version 12 before upgrading to ensure a smooth transition and avoid issues with your current setup. yes i want to know if the new version of google-adk (1.18) is already compatible with phoenix
Emanuele B. is this what you’re looking for? https://github.com/Arize-ai/openinference/tree/main/python/instrumentation/openinference-instrumentation-google-adk Phoenix is just an openinference collector, so the compatibility question is actually with the instrumentation package 🙂
Thanks, Ben. Yeah, upgrading Phoenix shouldn’t affect the instrumentation per se, but if you run into any issues, please let us know.
