Improving Phoenix Web App Performance with Large Span Attributes

Hi, when the span attribute value sizes are large the Phoenix web app become slow. Is there any config available that can make it faster like page size?

hi Xiaohan, as far as I recall we don't currently have that configurable, thanks for letting us know though! I'll make a tracking issue so we can tackle this when we have some time

can you give us some info about how big your attributes are? Is there anything else you think might be contributing to the UI slowness?

yeah that's huge, we did testing with some larger message sizes but nothing that big

the individual trace details page is a bit slow to open, but after it opens it's smooth

Do you need to be able to view the content of that text? I kind of expect it gets hard to find things in there.
