Troubleshooting HDBSCAN Installation Errors in Visual Studio Code

Hi, We are facing issues while installing phoenix python packages from visual studio code and below is the error message we are getting "ERROR: Could not build wheels for hdbscan, which is required to install pyproject.toml-based projects". Could someone help us to resolve on this issue.

Are you on windows by chance? There are issues with the wheels on windows for HDBSCAN. Could you try conda install if so?

Hi Mikyo, Yes we are using windows OS only. And unfortunately we are not able to install Conda software in our organization laptop as it is licensed. I tried with PIP install

Ah darn. I don’t know the details of the issue. The HDBSCAN folks might know better. If you are wanting to run Phoenix as a trace collector we do have docker images.

I had the same issue. Using hdbscan version 0.8.34-rc1 resolved it
