So we have a unique issue We’ve been using phoenix for 6 months now and it’s working splendidly in prod and dev envs But for a colleague of mine, no matter what we do, we can get phoenix traces emitted in his dev laptop We’ve tried notebook, starting cli and docker The ui and server start up We set up instrumentation properly (works for everyone else and prod) But traces will not emit to that instance We’ve also tried doing ngrok and having his service emit to my phoenix server in my laptop but that didn’t emit anything either ! It’s likely some network calls getting blocked? If you guys have seen this before and if there are any common troubleshooting steps we can do Please let us know!

Yeah we’ve tried all these … but no luck Simple example of working in a notebook also doesn’t work …

We used lsof to check those ports but nothing else was running Do you have any other steps to check if port is blocked? Also cc RunLLM

you might want to try emitting spans with an http, grpc and console span exporter, if all else fails, try capturing the span payload via http and send it using curl to a servers http endpoint?

Ah no, i haven't tried making manual api request to the server from friend's laptop
